May Favourites

May is always my least favourite month of the year because it means it's exam time. For me, May is just a month of stressing out and revising, which explains why I haven't updated this blog recently! I really felt the pressure this year to work hard and do well in these exams, so hopefully my grades reflect the effort I put in!
So what items have been making May more enjoyable?

Stabilo Felt Tips
You can't revise without buying new stationery, can you? These felt tips made my revision so much more colourful and there are so many pretty colours! I probably didn't need these because I have so many other felt tips, but buying pens makes me happy, okay?

This face mask was so nice to relax in after a day in the library. It smells so nice, a bit like porridge! It cleanses, polishes and moisturises your skin (hence the 3-in-1). It is nice and quick as you only leave it on for 10-15 mins and when you take it off, it acts as an exfoliator to really clean your face. It leaves my face so soft and renewed, I love it! Quick warning: Don't leave it on for too long as it becomes almost impossible to get off!

This stuff actually tastes like popcorn, I want to eat the whole pot. It's just like the sweet and salty popcorn that I am obsessed with. It leaves my lips so soft and it's so easy to use, I also have it in the bubblegum flavour but this one is defo my fave.

I really wanted an orange lipstick for agessss and this is my perfect shade. It is not too orange, more red if anything, but it is still beautiful. It is quite matte and the colour is so strong on the lips. It's such a summery colour and will look so lovely on tanned skin. This is the first Topshop lipstick I have bought and I'm so impressed with it, I will defo be buying more as they are such good quality for the price!

This highlighter is soooo pretty! It is so shimmery and creamy, it blends really easily onto the skin and gives you such a lovely, natural looking glow. The rose gold packaging it also super cute.

Primark Denim Skirt
I don't know why I fell in love with this skirt so much, but for just £10 I couldn't really say no. This cute A-line skirt buttons up the front and fits me perfectly (I find that clothes in Primark  n e v e r  fit me properly). Mum said that I used to have a skirt just like this with a matching denim hat when I was a little girl. Surely putting me in a denim hat was some sort of abuse...

Going to the Gym
I've never really enjoyed exercising before and saw it more as a chore than something to enjoy. But recently I've been going as a way of de-stressing and as a bit of a procrastination tool. I figured that I could go to the gym instead of revising because that was a positive use of my time, rather than binge watching Once Upon a Time on Netflix (my current TV obsession). I actually feel a lot better about myself and even though I haven't been going to the gym for that long, I can see results and I feel so much fitter. My stamina has improved massively and running up two flights of stairs in my house no longer kills me! I've been going around 4 times a week, mostly just running and toning up on the mats. I'm worried that over summer I will let this routine slip as I don't have a gym membership back home, but fingers crossed I keep exercising!

So that was May. It feels like it has been such a busy month, but nothing much has happened! I've now finished my second year at uni which is insane and I've now got such a long summer holidays which is fab.

Hope you all had a wonderful May!

Current Wishlist!

Exams are upon us, so obvs I've been avoiding revision and spending a lot of time on the Internet, lusting after things I can't afford. You become so good at procrastinating when you go to uni. I keep putting everything in my basket, then realising it comes to like £200 and having to remove everything *sob*
So I thought I'd put everything I want on here to waste even more revision time!

This ring is maybe the cutest thing ever. Need. Please can someone buy me this? Thanks xo

I love my Olivia Burton watch that I got for my birthday and I wear it everyday, so now I feel like I need to expand my watch collection. This is just so pretty, so it's defo on my list to buy.

A dusky pink bag? Yes please.

Isn't this the most unnecessary phone case you've ever seen? Like, how does this protect your phone at all? Still, I want.

Doesn't every girl wish she had one of these? But I really cannot justify the cost of this, which makes me quite sad...

These are are so cute and I don't have any shoes like this, so that's a good enough reason to buy these, right?

Possibly the most expensive pair of shoes I've ever seen in New Look, which is the only reason I haven't already bought them yet.

H&M Bag
It's pink and covered in tassels. What's not to love?

Okay, I've wasted enough time. You should probably be revising as well. Gotta do well in these exams so I can get a well-paid job so I can afford to buy everything I want.

The Body Shop

I've been spending a lot of time (and money) in The Body Shop recently, so I thought I'd share all the bits I've bought and tell you my faves.

Hand Cream
As I said in my April favourites post, I'm really trying to look after my hands, so I went back to buy some new hand creams. I bought the mango and the shea ones which both smell fab. These hand creams are so easy to just pop in your bag and they really take care of your hands.

Lip Butter
These are so hydrating for your lips and the smell is so lovely. They come in these cute little pots that you can take anywhere and they are really helping to keep my lips really soft.

I've had the Intense Moisture Cream for a while and it has saved my skin from the winter weather. I decided to buy the Moisture Lotion because it has an SPF in it and I've noticed that I've caught the sun a bit on my face and I don't want to have to go out and buy a new foundation just yet! I always forget to suncream my face in the summer so having a moisturiser with built in SPF 15 is going to make my life so much easier in the summer months.

These are two very new purchases (I bought them today) so I haven't had a chance to test them out. I wanted to have a skin care routine using products from the same range so that they would compliment each other. I'm hoping I will love them because I love the rest of the range!

Honey and Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask
Here is another product I have yet to try, but I bought it on a recommendation from my housemate so hopefully it works for me! I have never used a mask before and this one promises to smooth, refine, moisturise and condition my skin, so I'm expecting big things!

Waaaaay back in January, I made a resolution to take better care of my skin and to form a proper skin care routine so I went into the Body Shop and the assistant suggested this. She hyped it up so much that I felt pressured into buying it, but I really shouldn't have. I don't know how old she thought I was, but this product is for combating the first signs of ageing and I'm only 20! It is a nice product, lightweight and fragrance free, but it doesn't really do anything for my skin except make it feel a bit tight. I have tried to give it a chance and have been using it on and off since January, but I'm disappointed and annoyed I spent so much money on it!!!!

Summer is fast approaching and I've started buying sandals already! But I am so embarrassed by my feet, they are actually the ugliest things in the world. I don't care about my feet at all in winter because they are constantly covered by socks, but they need to look nice in the summer. Can't be on the beach with cracked heels! Both of these products have a fresh, minty smell that leave your feet feeling nice and clean. It's not an overpowering scent as I don't want to be able to smell my feet haha. The scrub has really rough particles in it made from volcanic rock which really feel like they are exfoliating the hard skin on your feet and the foot rescue makes them super soft. I haven't been using it for very long and I can already feel a difference!

This primer is amazing. It reduces the appearance of pores and controls shine, it keeps my make up in place all day and is perfect underneath my foundation. I never bothered with a primer before as I didn't have a problem with my make up sliding off my face, but since using this I've found that my make up lasts longer during the day. It really helps to hide my pores and 'blurs' my skin, making it look so much smoother. I really would really recommend this primer!

This is the biggest Body Shop shower gel I've ever seen! I love the strawberry scent from the Body Shop and it is probably my favourite range. It lathers up amazingly and the scent stays with you all day!

This body mist is lush. The scent is not too heavy, as I find that even though I love the smell of vanilla, it can sometimes be too strong and I feel overpowered by the scent. However, this is quite light and long wearing and such a good price!

God, I've spent so much money in The Body Shop recently! But I think I now have everything I wanted so I don't need to go back for a while...

What are your favourite products from The Body Shop?
