The Body Shop

I've been spending a lot of time (and money) in The Body Shop recently, so I thought I'd share all the bits I've bought and tell you my faves.

Hand Cream
As I said in my April favourites post, I'm really trying to look after my hands, so I went back to buy some new hand creams. I bought the mango and the shea ones which both smell fab. These hand creams are so easy to just pop in your bag and they really take care of your hands.

Lip Butter
These are so hydrating for your lips and the smell is so lovely. They come in these cute little pots that you can take anywhere and they are really helping to keep my lips really soft.

I've had the Intense Moisture Cream for a while and it has saved my skin from the winter weather. I decided to buy the Moisture Lotion because it has an SPF in it and I've noticed that I've caught the sun a bit on my face and I don't want to have to go out and buy a new foundation just yet! I always forget to suncream my face in the summer so having a moisturiser with built in SPF 15 is going to make my life so much easier in the summer months.

These are two very new purchases (I bought them today) so I haven't had a chance to test them out. I wanted to have a skin care routine using products from the same range so that they would compliment each other. I'm hoping I will love them because I love the rest of the range!

Honey and Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask
Here is another product I have yet to try, but I bought it on a recommendation from my housemate so hopefully it works for me! I have never used a mask before and this one promises to smooth, refine, moisturise and condition my skin, so I'm expecting big things!

Waaaaay back in January, I made a resolution to take better care of my skin and to form a proper skin care routine so I went into the Body Shop and the assistant suggested this. She hyped it up so much that I felt pressured into buying it, but I really shouldn't have. I don't know how old she thought I was, but this product is for combating the first signs of ageing and I'm only 20! It is a nice product, lightweight and fragrance free, but it doesn't really do anything for my skin except make it feel a bit tight. I have tried to give it a chance and have been using it on and off since January, but I'm disappointed and annoyed I spent so much money on it!!!!

Summer is fast approaching and I've started buying sandals already! But I am so embarrassed by my feet, they are actually the ugliest things in the world. I don't care about my feet at all in winter because they are constantly covered by socks, but they need to look nice in the summer. Can't be on the beach with cracked heels! Both of these products have a fresh, minty smell that leave your feet feeling nice and clean. It's not an overpowering scent as I don't want to be able to smell my feet haha. The scrub has really rough particles in it made from volcanic rock which really feel like they are exfoliating the hard skin on your feet and the foot rescue makes them super soft. I haven't been using it for very long and I can already feel a difference!

This primer is amazing. It reduces the appearance of pores and controls shine, it keeps my make up in place all day and is perfect underneath my foundation. I never bothered with a primer before as I didn't have a problem with my make up sliding off my face, but since using this I've found that my make up lasts longer during the day. It really helps to hide my pores and 'blurs' my skin, making it look so much smoother. I really would really recommend this primer!

This is the biggest Body Shop shower gel I've ever seen! I love the strawberry scent from the Body Shop and it is probably my favourite range. It lathers up amazingly and the scent stays with you all day!

This body mist is lush. The scent is not too heavy, as I find that even though I love the smell of vanilla, it can sometimes be too strong and I feel overpowered by the scent. However, this is quite light and long wearing and such a good price!

God, I've spent so much money in The Body Shop recently! But I think I now have everything I wanted so I don't need to go back for a while...

Lush Bath Bombs

Being at home over easter meant that I could have a bath. Aaaaaahhh I love a nice, hot, relaxing bath. Don't worry, I do wash regularly hahaa but while I am in Southampton I have to make do with just having a shower (our bathtub is quite skanky). Now, don't get me wrong, showers are great, but there is nothing quite like a bubble bath at the end of the day.

To really indulge while I was at home I went and bought my first ever Lush bath bombs! How is it that I've managed to reach the age of 20 without buying a Lush bath bomb?!
The first one I used was the little pink one, a Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment. Oooooh it was so nice! It doesn't look like much but it smelt like candy floss and made the bath all pink. This one was actually a bath melt, not a bath bomb, and has cocoa butter which meant it was soooo moisturizing and good for my skin. I was all soft and smooth when I got out!
It fizzed away in my bath for such a long time, I felt like I could have cut it in half and still had an amazing bath. But, alas, I only thought of this half way through so could only get one use out of it. But it was such a nice product and I will defo get one again.

The other one I bought was the Dragon's Egg. It was colossal! It looked like a pretty bog standard bath bomb on the outside, but inside it was all orange and turned the bath the same colour!! It fizzed everywhere and I defo didn't need to use all of it in one bath! I could have got at least four baths with it! But, like I said, I'm a Lush newbie, so how was I supposed to know!?
It had a really lovely citrusy scent that made the bathroom smell amazing! It also had a bit of popping candy in it which I didn't know, so I was sitting in the bath really confused, thinking that the bathroom was slowly falling apart. This was such a fun product to use, but there are so many other bath bombs to try that I think I'll hold of buying another of these before I've tried all the rest!

So it turns out I love Lush products and I'm kicking myself that I've never used them before. Although I find some of their products a little pricey, I will defo buy some more stuff to treat myself to a lovely bath every now and again!

What's your favourite Lush bath bomb?
