Arundel Castle

Last week, my boyfriend and I went on a roadtrip to the small town of Arundel *woooo roadtrip!*

We had no idea what was in Arundel, apart from the fact that it has a castle, so went with little expectation.

We arrived around lunchtime and had a little walk around the quaint town. Within about half an hour, we had walked around the whole town... It's a very small place!

We ended up having lunch in Pizza Express, a favourite of ours, but we felt guilty for not eating in any local restaurants! However, when the dough balls came out we soon forgot about this and dug in.

After lunch, we decided to go and see the castle, but when we got to the entrance it was closed! Turns out, the castle only opens for the summer months and will reopen on the 28th March. We probably should have planned ahead... This was a bit of a disappointment, but it just means we will have to go back to Arundel again, which isn't a great hardship!

Arundel is a beautiful town and we had a lovely day wandering round in the sunshine. It is not too far away from my University, so I will definitely be going back in the summer months.
